Lady is sitting in her car when a stray dog hobbles over, sits down by her car door and stares at her. Lady is with the local dog rescue outfit, so natch she gets out to investigate. The dog 'hobbles', it turns out, because her back leg is broken in five places. Even so she leads the woman to her family, that she is trying to take care of: five puppies and a kitten, that she's nursing.
Everyone pitches in to help. Tears are jerked. Happy ending is had.
Update: Doc helps. Leg is saved. Mom and family all doing fine.
And on that note, a new year begins.
